Very clean and comfortable rooms with excellent en-suite facilities.

The room was very modern and well equipped, clean and comfortable. Food was good pub food with a wide selection available.

I was not expecting this to be a sports bar with rooms, so the actual location came as a shock - I had imagined it to be more in open countryside, rather than in a densley built up part of town. However inside the facilities could not be faulted. There is no where to relax apart from the sports bar, dominated by many large screen TV's, good if you like footie but ...

The staff worked hard to make it a good stay but the morning clearer was on her own to do breakfast with no surport. Food very good value good area to travel out from.

Shower curtains needed washing and rooms bit small only one chair to sit on.Mini bar good idea but no prices in the room but good to keep fresh milk in .

Booked the 19th hole the day before we went the rooms are fantastic for the price we had dinner and a ver good value breakfast the next day we would go back

A slight bit of noise from the bar

I had a fantastic time at the 19th Hole and have no hesitations in recommending it. It is a small hotel with only 6 rooms, but these rooms are of a very high standard. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the food, well what can I say, fantastic!!!! Even though Carnoustie is a very small place, I had the most relaxing time and was able to visit many different places very easily. I thank everyone at the hotel for a fantastic break

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 19th Hole Hotel, the staff were fiendly and very welcoming. They were knowledgable, professional and very accomodating. The rooms were lovely and very luxurious, all ensuite with a well stocked minibar, hairdryer, safe and anything else you could possibly need on request. The food was very reasonably/competitively priced and absolutely delicious (portions were a tad to big for me and I am a women who likes my food) as was the alcoholic beveridges served in both the bar and minibar in the room. Could not fault our stay.

Didn't like is a rather strong statement in my case, the only thing I wasn't keen on was breakfast. As it is a buffet breakfast served at the 19th Hole, the hot food is kept hot under a hot plate for guests to help themselves, if your not quick of the mark, there may be an instance of it being a tad dry. But all in all even at breakfast the staff are like little rays of sunshine, which counteracts any negative thoughts. They all had such infectious bubbly personalities.

Lovely staff & excellently appointed rooms

The bar & food area was plagued with flies. The band , though good played until the early hours of Sunday morning!

Everything. Friendly and attentive staff throughout our stay. Large bedroom with large double bed and all the little extras not usually found in this price range. Excellent breakfast. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

There was nothing we could not like about the 19th Hole.

Room was very clean and comfortable with the added bonus of door leading to decking with a table and two chairs, we were very lucky because the weather was beautiful. Young man on the bar was very efficient.

Very disappointed in the kitchen. We ordered our evening meal at 7.15pm to be told that all the fish dishes were finished, this is the East coast of Scotland!!! Chicken dish was acceptable but my husband's ceaser salad was extremely disappointing. Breakfast the following morning was poor, very little choice left when we arrived at 9.15am also had to ask for the juice containers to be filled. On the last morning we arrived at 9.05am to find quite a few people waiting, staff seemed to think we had all arrived too early!! No plates, no utensils, no eggs, undercooked sausages. There would appear to be a lack of organisation which is a pity because the hotel is very nice.

The hotel was very friendly and welcoming and excellent value for money. The rooms were clean, well furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed staying at the 19th hole - shame we only stayed for one night as we would have liked to stay longer.

There is nothing to dislike about the 19th hole.

it was ideal location for touring the cliffs and seaside the bedroom and ensuite were clean and fresh we only had one night here but the staff were very friendly and even went on line to check for roadworks along our next route before we left. they were genuine in making sure we didnt miss points of interest on our short tour of scotland. the breakfast was lovely and we were encouraged to try haggis overall a lovely experience

the only down side was the entrance / reception was through the lounge so we had to disturb people from their seats to get our bags up to the room.

Allan & his staff were very friendly, helpful & this hotel only has plans to expand & become even better. We would have no hesitation in staying again in the future. It is partly a project still in the making, but with a go ahead guy like Allan in charge, Carnoustie has a small hotel to be very proud of.
